Christiaan Postma Clock

Dutch designer Christiaan Postma figured out how to put together more than 150 individual clockworks and made them work together to become one clock. They show the progress of time by letting the numbers be written in words by the clockworks. For example, the word “five” starts to emerge at around 4:30 and is perfectly readable at exactly 5:00 o’clock. Then it slowly begins to disappear as the word “four” emerges elsewhere on the clockface. Take a look at the animation on to see this effect in action.
