Braille E-Book
Posted on March 31st, 2009 in Tech & Gadgets
Visually challenged people require Braille books in order to read. However, not many books are available in a Braille version due to the cost and existing Braille books are too thick and heavy. EAP is a technology that can create particular patterns on the surface of plastic by raising those parts with an electronic signal. By using this technology, ‘Braille E-Book’ designed by Sean Park, Olbae woo, Jinsun Park and Sunhye Woo translates e-book contents into Braille, allowing the visually impaired to have an access to as many books as everyone else.
