Juicy Pendant from Lightyears

Designer duo from Denmark Kasper Salto & Thomas Sigsgaard created the simple, logical and functional pendant light Juicy for Danish brand Lightyears.

“Juicy predominantly consists of metal and as a result is both practical and sturdy. The shining polycarbonate ring emphasises the transition from cone to shade.

The cone is made from diecast zinc alloy, while the shade is made from drawn aluminium. The parts are painted with either black or white high gloss lacquer.

The light source is easily replaced by separating the shade and the cone, which are joined in a 3-point bayonet socket at the shining ring.

Juicy emits a powerful and focused downward light. The light is reflected from the inside of the shade down through the finalising honeycomb-filter, which joins and softens the light. The result is ample and pleasant light without a hint of dazzling.”
