Syn-Kraft Stool by Christian Kayser

Young German designer Christian Kayser has created the Syn-Kraft stool based on the idea of synergy of weight and gravity to give the stool its final shape.
“The Syn-Kraft-stool gets its final shape by sitting on it. I used a wooden “frame” for stainless-steel batons. The batons are flexible and enable the stool to transform by putting weight on it. The weight of the user becomes a required element of the furniture and generates a symbiotic relation between both. While sitting on the stool the flexibility increases. As the stool reaches its final shape, the user receives an active sit furniture.”
